A vacuum kiln is a type of kiln that uses a vacuum to remove the air from the drying chamber. This allows the lumber to dry faster and more evenly. The more advanced vacuum drying kiln uses a vacuum to lower the boiling point of the water, so that the moisture in the wood evaporates from the inside out, and the top of the wood is equipped with a hydraulic device, which incidentally plays a role in straightening the wood.

Vacuum wood drying kiln advantages
Stable drying quality
The vacuum wood kiln avoids the temperature gradient difference produced by steam, no bending, deformation, cracking, surface hardening, material color change and other phenomena. There is no bending, deformation, cracking, surface hardening, material color changing, etc. Part of the curved wood can be straightened by hot pressing drying.
Low power consumption
Vacuum drying technology can be called energy-saving drying technology. Compared with the conventional drying equipment, the internal water vapor temperature is reduced, and the drying cycle is shortened by about 5-15 times, which is more advantageous for the dense and difficult-to-dry wood.
Green drying
The vacuum wood drying kiln can centralize the treatment of harmful substances that are discharged from wood drying.
Flexible operation
Easy to learn, understand and simple to operate.
Convenient to install
The vacuum wood drying kiln covers a small space and is easy to install and transport.
Less materials needed
No need for steam pressure boilers, civil engineering and other ancillary facilities. No need for consumable materials such as spacer bars and pallets.
Working Theory

The wood to be dried is placed in a sealed container and dried at less than atmospheric pressure drying, which accelerates the rate of movement of moisture from the interior of the wood to the surface of the wood. In the process of heating the wood continuously, the At the same time, a vacuum system is used to eliminate the air in the drying chamber, so that it is not affected by the air, and the vaporization temperature in the drying chamber is reduced. The temperature of vaporization in the drying room is lowered, and the wood can be dried at a lower temperature, thus avoiding defects such as cracking and deformation of wood caused by too high temperature. The drying time for 30mm thickness thin board is usually only 24 hours, 72 hours for 50mm thickness boards, and about 96 hours for 60-70mm thickness boards, which is about 5-15 times shorter than the conventional drying time. 5-15 times shorter than conventional drying time.
All vacuum wood drying kilns can be custom made as per customer’s requirement.
